For this to happen, our shared humanity and love of neighbor has to win over self interest. Union members with great coverage have been turned. The Cadillac tax plan got to them. Small business owners who are paying nothing would have to pay something. Their employees have been told to worry about their jobs, and they bought it. People who have decent but not wonderful plans have been convinced they have nothing to gain. Poor people who have no insurance now, and pay nothing for nothing can't afford to pay something. They just keep on going and hope they don't get sick. Insurance companies have a good deal going now. They insure whoever they choose and make great profits. Change? The rich just want to pay less taxes and dismantle what we have now for the poor. The elderly have been convinced that containing Medicare spending, as part of paying for the new plan, will hurt them. So, the Republicans have convinced almost everyone that this plan is evil. Their singular objective is to make sure Obama fails and is a one term President. The hard sell here is that we must do this because we love our neighbors as ourselves, and each get past our self interest as the Republicans have explained it to us. What we must sell to Obama is that he has to lay down the hammer, and make it happen, in the name of justice and humanity. The Republicans know about divide and conquer. Petitions can be started over the net. That's for sure, problem: who will follow? People would thinks it's useless, a hoax, or even not reliable...as usual. I'm in it, would like to start on FB. If no one starts something, nothing will happen. One is the start of everything. I truely know and hope this will work...anyone following? I start. You can sign by adding.
